    Chronexus 0.10.0 — macOS, Linux and campaign members (pre-release)

    First packages for macOS and Linux, built in dedicated containers (Linux, Windows) and
    natively (macOS). This is a pre-release without signatures: no Authenticode, no Apple
    Developer ID and no updater signature. Installed 0.9.x copies keep receiving updates only from
    signed releases, so this version is not offered by the in-app updater: download it here.
    Every file is listed with its SHA-256 in SHA256SUMS.txt.

    Not available: Windows ARM64 (the cross-build fails in a cryptography library) and the
    Linux x64 AppImage (needs a native x64 build host).

    First launch of an unsigned app

    • Windows: SmartScreen → More info → Run anyway.
    • macOS: right-click the app → Open → Open (ad-hoc signed, not notarized).
    • Linux: install the .deb with your package manager, or make the AppImage executable.

    New: campaign members. In a shared campaign's Sharing view, Members lists who is in
    the campaign (read from the server only when you ask). The owner switches members between
    player and reader and removes members; players and readers can leave. Every removal is
    confirmed first.

    Fixed

    • Your role in a shared campaign is read again at every synchronization: a player made reader
      no longer retries refused changes forever, and a reader made player can share again. A
      reader's unsent changes are shown as waiting, never as saved.
    • macOS: the app bundle now carries a valid ad-hoc signature.
    • Linux: the campaign picker in the sidebar is readable.

    Works with Chronexus Server 0.1.0 and 0.1.1. No schema change (021); existing archives
    open as before.

    Verified (27 October 2026): 173 Rust tests and Clippy, 196 interface tests, TypeScript,
    ESLint, the localization gate (1319 messages, ten languages); the client against the real
    server binary (4 live tests); three apps (macOS and two Linux) against a Docker deployment over
    HTTPS in a 37-step sharing scenario; the package installations listed above.

    Chronexus 0.9.2 — A Chronexus-branded Windows installer

    The Windows installer now carries the user-selected Chronexus artwork: the herald
    and wordmark on welcome/finish pages, a compact wordmark on the wizard headers,
    and the Chronexus icon for installer and uninstaller. The sidebar uses the app's
    leather, brass and burgundy palette. Labels and controls remain native, readable
    text; the standard installation, upgrade and cancellation flows are preserved.
    The passive in-app updater may omit wizard pages as before.

    Includes the 0.9.1 fixes for existing-archive backup verification and startup update
    checks. Existing archives migrate automatically to schema 021. If an older installed
    updater is blocked by the backup error, preserve a verified backup, close Chronexus
    and run this installer manually. No new schema, app identifier or signing key.

    Windows x64 app only, with the production updater signature, without AI weights or
    Windows Authenticode signing. Other platforms/architectures and actual installation
    or upgrade remain unverified. Published older installers are not replaced.

    Verified on Windows x64: signed NSIS and frontend build, production package signature
    and tamper rejection, all 27 release-tool tests, correct bitmap dimensions/format,
    and the actual welcome/directory wizard pages with native accessible headings and
    controls. The wizard was cancelled before installation. Source artwork unchanged.

    Chronexus 0.9.1 — Reliable backups and update announcements

    Fixes an upgrade blocker for existing archives. SQLite retains the line endings of
    its migration scripts, so an archive upgraded across Windows and Unix builds could
    be rejected as having an unexpected database structure even though its tables and
    constraints were identical. Backup verification now accepts equivalent SQL layout
    while keeping quoted values, constraints, integrity, migration history and attachment
    checks strict. The original archive is never replaced during backup.

    Updates are checked once at every app startup when enabled. A successful check
    in the previous 20 hours no longer suppresses the next launch. The herald still
    waits until the app is idle, respects opt-out, ignored versions and reminders, and
    never installs anything on its own. A manual update operation no longer consumes
    and drops the startup check.

    For users blocked by the backup error in an older installed version: that old
    updater cannot repair its own backup code. Use this Windows x64 installer manually
    after preserving a verified backup and closing Chronexus. Existing archives migrate
    automatically on first open; do not delete, rebuild or edit your campaign database.
    Schema remains 021; no new migration or campaign format is introduced by this fix.

    Windows x64 app only, without AI weights or a Windows Authenticode signature.
    The dedicated updater signature uses the existing production key. macOS, Linux,
    ARM64 and an actual installation/upgrade are not verified for this hotfix.

    Validation on Windows x64: 170 Rust tests, 179 frontend tests, TypeScript, ESLint,
    Clippy, rustfmt, i18n check and Vite build. Mixed-line-ending schema 018/021 backups
    restore and migrate automatically. Native WebView herald appearance, immediate
    restart, reminder, focus and Axe checks passed on an isolated synthetic profile.
    A verified read-only snapshot of the affected installed schema 018 archive also
    migrated successfully on an extracted copy and remained backuppable afterward.

    Chronexus 0.9.0 — Shared campaigns that keep themselves in sync

    This release adds the optional Chronexus Server companion and everything the app needs to use
    it. Without a server, nothing changes: Chronexus stays fully offline, and the sharing screens
    contact nothing until you press a button or switch automatic synchronization on for a campaign.
    It also ships the English-first work of 0.8.1, which was never released on its own.

    Choose what leaves your device, item by item. Pages, sessions, relationships and party
    members can stay only on this computer, be kept as a private copy that your own other
    computers can download, or be shared with the other players. Selected sections of the
    character sheet (never your notes) and individual images can be shared read-only. A summary
    always says how many items are in each state. What other players share stays attributed to them
    and never becomes a fact of your campaign.

    Automatic synchronization, opt-in per campaign. Changes are saved on this device first and
    sent a moment later; editing never waits for the network. The header badge and the Sharing view
    say whether a change is only on this device, being sent, saved on the server, waiting because the
    server is not reachable, in conflict, or stopped. If the server is down or the app crashes
    mid-send, the change is retried safely and applied once. Two computers of the same account stay
    aligned, concurrent edits become a conflict that shows both versions, and nothing is overwritten
    silently. Download a campaign you keep on the server onto a second computer from App settings.

    Revocation and deletion are yours to choose. If you are removed from a campaign or it is
    deleted, the copies received from others are cleared, your own items stay, and synchronization
    stops with a clear reason. You can delete your copy on the server, delete a campaign you own
    (by typing its name) or delete your account; none of them touches what is on your computer.

    English-first (0.8.1). English is the default, source and fallback language for new
    profiles; Italian and the other languages stay selectable and existing choices are preserved.

    Schema 021 (additive; sharing tables were rebuilt with their data copied). Back up before
    upgrading: older builds do not read a newer archive.

    Verified (Windows x64): 168 Rust tests (4 more run against a real Chronexus Server build),
    179 frontend tests, Clippy, ESLint, TypeScript and the translation check; the sharing controls
    in the real application window with Axe reporting no violations; two computers replicating
    through a real server with a median of about 160 ms from typing to the other computer, a server
    restart recovered automatically, conflicts, revocation, deletion, and shared images and sheet
    sections. Not verified: macOS and Linux, ARM64, installation/upgrade of the installer,
    sign-in and download flows in the window (they need an HTTPS server), real networks and TLS.
    The server has its own release; this installer works with servers that support the
    incremental-sync capability.

    Chronexus 0.8.0 — Backup periodici, AI guidata e nuovo araldo

    Backup nei Documenti (M19). In Impostazioni dell’app → Backup puoi attivare
    backup periodici (ogni giorno, ogni settimana o ogni N ore) che partono solo con
    l’app aperta e inattiva, mai mentre scrivi. Le copie vanno in
    Documenti/Chronexus/Backup periodici o in una cartella scelta dal selettore di
    sistema; Chronexus conserva il numero di copie indicato ed elimina solo quelle
    che ha creato e registrato con hash. Sono disattivati finché non li accendi: il
    file .nodex non è cifrato e i Documenti possono essere sincronizzati nel cloud.

    • I backup prima degli aggiornamenti vanno in Documenti/Chronexus/Backup aggiornamenti; se i Documenti non sono utilizzabili restano nella cartella dati
      con un avviso. Se il backup fallisce, l’installazione non parte.
    • Backup e ripristino elenca i backup delle cartelle con tipo, data e dimensione e
      copia i vecchi backup di aggiornamento nei Documenti con verifica SHA-256.

    AI locale dalle impostazioni (M22). Controllo dei componenti, installazione
    guidata di Ollama 0.40.10 dall’archivio ufficiale con SHA-256 verificato, avvio e
    arresto espliciti e download dei soli modelli qualificati (Qwen3.8-27B, Gemma 4
    12B) con verifica dei pesi. Nessun download all’avvio, nessun servizio cloud.

    Identità visiva (M21) e README (M20). Icona e logo dell’araldo, presentazione
    del progetto rinnovata in italiano e inglese con schermate di una campagna inventata.

    Verifiche: 134 test Rust e 332 test frontend, Clippy, lint, TypeScript e collaudi
    desktop Windows su profili isolati (backup automatici, rotazione, ripresa dopo
    riavvio, ripristino con immagini; installazione reale di Ollama e verifica dei
    pesi di Gemma). Non verificati: macOS/Linux, disco pieno e cartelle in sola
    lettura fisiche, download completo dei 17,7 GB di Qwen3.8-27B dall’interfaccia,
    upgrade installato da una versione precedente. Le nuove schermate sono
    solo in italiano anche nelle altre lingue.

    Schema SQLite invariato (018). L’updater verifica la firma e crea un backup prima
    dell’installazione. L’installer non è firmato Authenticode: Windows può mostrare
    SmartScreen. Nessun peso AI, dato personale o segreto è incluso nel pacchetto.

    Chronexus 0.7.0 — Qwen3.8-27B locale, Gemma secondaria

    L’assistente e la traduzione wiki propongono Qwen3.8-27B come modello principale.
    Gemma 4 12B resta un’alternativa esplicita più rapida e conserva l’addestramento
    locale della campagna. Il modello 27B qualificato usa insieme GPU e RAM sulla
    RTX 4080 SUPER da 16 GB; nessun servizio AI esterno o download automatico.

    • Scelte e pesi qualificati condivisi fra assistente, wiki e strumenti locali.
    • Selettore Qwen/Gemma per le traduzioni, senza cambi automatici di modello.
    • Schema 018: vecchi Qwen disabilitati, cronologia e citazioni conservate.
      Backup precedenti ripristinabili; serve una nuova scelta e attivazione esplicita.
    • Riaddestramento disponibile soltanto con Gemma, con spiegazione per Qwen.
    • Ritirati gli script che costruivano nuovi installer del vecchio Qwen.

    Installer Windows x64, solo app. Runtime e pesi AI separati:
    ollama pull qwen3.8:27b-q4_K_M, oppure Gemma già qualificata. Preparazione,
    digest e requisiti in docs/AI_MODELS.md. Nessun modello D&D specializzato.
    Le traduzioni sono bozze da confrontare con l’originale; nomi e termini possono
    essere imprecisi. Nessuna modifica automatica a note, schede o fatti.

    Qualifica reale: confronto 35/35 e benchmark desktop 40/40 per ciascun modello,
    backup 017 ripristinato senza perdita, cache riletta con runtime spento.
    162 test frontend, 118 test Rust ordinari, Clippy, lint, TypeScript, i18n,
    script e build Windows verificati. Altre GPU/macOS/Linux e installazione reale
    restano da collaudare; nessuna prova fisica offline dichiarata.

    L’updater verifica la firma e richiede un backup valido prima dell’installazione.
    L’installer non è firmato Authenticode: Windows può mostrare SmartScreen.
    Nessun peso AI, dato personale o segreto è incluso nel pacchetto.

    Chronexus 0.6.0 — Traduzione locale della wiki

    • Traduci in [lingua dell’app] nelle voci Wikidot e Open5e. La prima
      traduzione richiede un clic; le copie salvate ricompaiono anche offline.
    • Traduzione sul dispositivo con Qwen3 4b-instruct già installato, Ollama senza
      cloud e GPU disponibile. Nessun download automatico e nessun dato di campagna
      inviato al modello o a servizi esterni.
    • Originale sempre consultabile; fonte, edizione e licenza conservate. Le
      traduzioni sono bozze automatiche: verifica termini e regole nell’originale.
      Klingon/Romulano mantengono l’originale con un avviso esplicito.
    • Annullamento, cambio lingua, controllo delle risposte incomplete e dei numeri.
      Cache delle traduzioni eliminabile con quella della relativa wiki, inclusa
      nei backup verificati. Nessuna modifica agli incantesimi già salvati.

    Compatibilità: schema SQLite 017, migrazione additiva dalla 0.5.0. I backup
    precedenti restano ripristinabili; le versioni precedenti non leggono lo schema
    017. L’aggiornamento interno verifica la firma e crea il backup obbligatorio.
    Runtime e pesi AI restano separati dall’installer dell’app.

    Windows x64. Verificati traduzione locale italiana/tedesca/araba, cache senza
    runtime, annullamento e accessibilità della vista. Altre lingue e terminologia
    richiedono revisione; macOS/Linux e installazione personale non collaudati.
    La firma updater è distinta da Authenticode. Dettagli in docs/STATUS.md e
    docs/WIKI_TRANSLATION.md. M18 resta pianificata separatamente.

    Chronexus 0.5.0 — Wiki Wikidot e araldo degli aggiornamenti

    • Fonti D&D / Wiki nelle impostazioni dell’app: Wikidot D&D 5e (predefinita)
      oppure Open5e. Con Wikidot si scarica l’indice pubblico della categoria e il nome
      si cerca sul dispositivo; voci in testo semplice con fonte dichiarata, origine
      (pubblicato, Unearthed Arcana, homebrew), URL e licenza della pagina.
    • Se Wikidot non fornisce informazioni, Chronexus chiede se usare Open5e; senza il
      tuo consenso non contatta l’altra fonte.
    • Svuota cache offline per fonte o per tutte le wiki, con conferma. Campagne,
      incantesimi importati, immagini, backup e fonte scelta restano intatti.
    • Incantesimi Wikidot importabili nella scheda con modulo modificabile e
      provenienza conservata.
    • Araldo degli aggiornamenti: un controllo leggero all’avvio (al massimo ogni
      20 ore, disattivabile) annuncia le nuove versioni con trombetta e manifesto,
      solo quando l’app è inattiva. «Aggiorna» scarica e verifica; l’installazione
      resta esplicita, sempre dopo il backup obbligatorio.

    Compatibilità: database SQLite 016 (migrazione additiva). I backup creati con
    0.5.0 non si ripristinano con 0.4.0. Dalla 0.4.0 l’aggiornamento è disponibile
    nelle impostazioni dell’app con backup automatico. Runtime/pesi AI separati.

    Verifiche e limiti: docs/STATUS.md. Solo Windows x64; firma updater distinta da
    Authenticode. Nuove scritte dell’interfaccia in italiano nelle altre lingue.

    Chronexus 0.4.0 — aggiornamenti interni

    • Impostazioni dell’app: controllo esplicito delle nuove versioni, download
      annullabile e installazione con backup automatico obbligatorio.
    • Canale pubblico Forgegit tramite API release o manifesto HTTPS configurabile.
    • Firma del pacchetto e della versione, rifiuto di download incompleti/manomessi,
      nessun account o contenuto delle campagne inviato al server.
    • Backup .nodex di tutte le campagne e degli allegati gestiti; ricevuta con hash
      e preferenze. Se il backup fallisce non si avvia l’installer.
    • Integrazione MCP esterna della 0.3.0 inclusa, sempre nascosta e disattiva per
